Tie, belt and scarf hanger
Ties do not belong in a drawer, and they do not stay on a shirt hanger
Folded into a drawer, a tie comes out creased across the middle. Draped over a shirt hanger, it slides off the first time you move the hanger. This is a slim wood bar with a row of chrome hooks under it. It hangs on the closet rod like any other hanger, and every tie, belt and scarf gets its own hook and hangs straight.
Because the bar is narrow, the whole thing takes up about the width of one shirt on the rod. You see all of it at once, you lift one item off without disturbing the rest, and nothing has to be unfolded before you wear it.
The count is the capacity
Fourteen hooks, or twenty
Each hook takes one item, so the number in the buy box is simply how many ties, belts or scarves the bar will carry. The hooks are chrome wire, set in two staggered rows under the bar - one row facing you, one facing the back of the closet. That is how a bar this short carries this many things.
The lighter version
One row of paired hooks. Enough for a working rotation of ties, or a belt collection that fits on one bar.
The full version
The same bar with the hooks set closer together. Six more places to hang, same slice of rod.
Finishes
Natural wood with a clear satin finish, or the same bar finished in black.
The hook counts are what the two versions are photographed with, and they are what you choose between at the buy box. We have not been given a weight rating for the bar or for an individual hook, so we do not state one.
What it is, plainly
Both measurements come from the supplier's own dimension drawing, which shows the twenty-hook bar. Note what the height figure covers: it is the whole hanger including the hanging hook, not the depth of the wood.
Materials
Solid wood and chrome-finished steel wire
The bar is a single piece of solid wood - you can see the grain running through it and the growth rings in the end, and the natural version is finished clear rather than printed. The hooks and the top hanging hook are steel wire with a bright chrome finish.
What we cannot tell you is the species. No wood type is documented for this item anywhere in what our supplier provides, so this page does not name one and does not call it hardwood or bamboo. If that matters to you, ask us before you order rather than after.
Three things it is good at
Ties, without the crease
Looped over its own hook, a tie hangs at full length and keeps its shape. Nothing is folded, so nothing has to be smoothed out in the morning.
Belts, at full length
Hooked by the buckle end, belts hang straight instead of coiling in a drawer, and you can see which one you are reaching for.
Scarves and light straps
Silk scarves, thin fabric belts and camisole straps all sit on the same hooks. The hooks are smooth wire with a rounded ball on the end.
Straight answers
What this page will not tell you
- No wood species, and no hardwood claim. The material is documented only as wood. We have looked and there is nothing more specific to pass on.
- No weight limit. Nobody has given us a load figure for the bar or the hooks, so we are not going to invent one. A reviewer notes it can tilt if you load heavy belts all on one side, which is worth knowing.
- No maximum rod diameter. The hanging hook is the ordinary size you would find on a wooden shirt hanger and it goes over a normal closet rod, but we do not hold a measured opening figure.
- The natural finish is a real wood color, so it varies. Across the supplier's own photographs the "Brown" bar ranges from pale blond to a warmer honey tone. Expect it to be close, not identical.
One bar, one slice of the rod, everything visible
Hang it on the rod, put a tie or a belt on each hook, and close the wardrobe. That is the whole product.
